The Human

That'd be me.

Em.

Eighteen years old.

South east Queenslander.

Aspiring writer; very amateur photographer; agility enthusiast.

Owner, trainer, handler, playmate, food dispenser to the canine crew.

And that about sums me up.

I've been involved in the world of dogs and training since early 2007, starting at our local training club with the then almost seven year old Jack in a "modified agility" class. We had some issues- Jack's lack of training, socialisation and fixation on my dad for starters- but got past them and six months later my parents agreed it'd be good if I got my own dog to start from scratch with. Charlie came home that December and he was my true learning curve: I made so many mistakes with him it's depressing, but I'm without a doubt a better handler and trainer for them and I can't thank Charlie enough for putting up with me and my mess-ups.

I started agility training with Charlie mid 2008, and have been trialling since July 2009. I'm also heavily involved with our local training club, taking classes in various disciplines and being a part of our demonstration team for obedience and agility since mid 2009.

After a three year senior, I'll be graduating from high school in November this year and I'm still not quite sure what I want to do with the rest of my life, only that if it somehow involved working with dogs I'd be pretty happy with that.

I tend to be sarcastic, blunt, argumentative and opinionated, but am a generally nice and easy going person. Ignorance pisses me off, as does narrow mindedness and most people my age.
